TEAM Defined
The TEAM Program exists to challenge high school students to live their lives fully committed to Christ. We believe this will happen through Time, Experience, Accountability and Maturity. We want students to fully live out 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity”.
Time: Recognizing that Jesus came to serve, not to be served, we want the TEAM staff to desire to give their time to serve God and others. We want this to become so natural that it takes place everyday in every situation of their lives.
Experience: Our desire is to create an atmosphere where TEAM staff experience the relevance of God. As students see that God is just as relevant today as He was when the Bible was written, we believe that they will be more committed to living for Him. One of the best ways for people to experience this in their life is to jump in with both feet and see God work.
Accountability: Our desire is to build relationships with the students that will motivate and influence them to continue to grow closer to God while both here at Indian Hills and once they are back home.
Maturity: We want to take our students on a journey of exploring God’s Word on their own that will result in a deeper faith. This is accomplished mainly through daily devotions, TEAM group devotions and all camp staff devotions. We understand that we can only provide the opportunities for growth, and we cannot make our students grow, but with enough opportunities we feel that growth will happen.
